My venue required a day-of coordinator but after meeting with Meg Henson to discuss options, I knew that having a full service coordinator was a better fit for me. As a busy working mom I needed someone to keep me organized, on time, help with decision making, and communicate with vendors throughout the planning process. Meg & Devon were such an amazing team to work with over the past year as we planned my November wedding. They communicated so well along the way, offering meetings and phone calls as needed. On the wedding day, I found my stress level was surprisingly so low. I felt relaxed and in the moment and I honestly feel it was due to the work they put in along the way. Devon worked my event and was so wonderful, I honestly cannot say enough about how amazing she was on the wedding day keeping everything running smoothly for set-up, the ceremony, reception, and clean up. Would recommend Meg Henson Events 10/10!

Meg is the PERFECT Wedding Coordinator! We cannot say enough wonderful things about Meg! My husband and I were married in an intimate backyard wedding on May 28th and Meg insured that everything went perfectly smooth! Initially, my parents thought that they could handle a small wedding without a coordinator... they were wrong. After the wedding, my mother was saying how “Meg was worth every single penny and more”! From vendor recommendations, completely handling our timeline, and even helping with set up, Meg did so much work behind the scenes and the day of. Our day was perfect and I can’t imagine it going even nearly as well without Meg’s help. Weddings (especially backyard weddings) require a ton of planning and detail, so do yourself a favor and hire Meg! You will not regret it!

Amazing, simply put. We hired Meg as our month and day of planner, which let me add, having that as an option was amazing, usually it's all or nothing, or just the day of. Knowing how hectic the month before our wedding would be, it was simply perfect. I planned mostly everything up until the month before, and then Meg took over, and when I say took over, she was amazing! Meg helped us organize our linen orders, corresponded with ALL of our vendors and had such an amazing relationship with everyone, which helps so much (her reputation is already outstanding). The day of our wedding, I simply can't even put into words the work she did and completed. Throughout the entire process, timelines were completed and followed, she listened to what we truly wanted and her responsiveness through my confusion of everything at times was so flawless, she was kind and understanding and bent over backwards to cater to our needs. Meg put all of our decor and signs out without much direction, and it was just beautiful with how everything turned out. During the cocktail hour, she made sure drinks were in our hand and appetizers were set aside for us! Everything from setting up to taking all of the decor and packing it up, organizing the transportation of it and making sure we had the things that matter the most. Simply put, she made our day a dream come true. I cannot tell you how easy and enjoyable our day was working with Meg. I would HIGHLY recommend her to any one that is planning their wedding. Superb job, I wish I could have a million weddings all over again with her.

Meg was amazing when it came to planning our wedding (all 3 times) through a pandemic. She went above and beyond to work with us and our vendors helping us get everyone rescheduled and stay organized through 2 cancelled events due to the pandemic and then our final wedding celebration. The day of the event her and Devon were there to make sure everything went smoothly and I seriously couldn't have done it without her. She was smiling through the whole process and keeping me and my husband calm and sane as we had to deal with all the changes thrown at us, not once but twice. To say we couldn't have done it without her is an understatement. I would refer her to anyone with 100% confidence that she will help make their day as special as she made ours. I was tentative to hire a coordinator because I was doing so much of the wedding planning on my own, however our venue required a day-of coordinator, so I started looking - well, I am so glad that they required it because hiring Meg turned out to be worth its weight in gold! Her “month-of coordination” package is so much more than just that. We had phone calls/meetings set up several months in advance to keep in touch over the course of our wedding planning process, which we were doing long distance as we live in Maryland. She was always the epitome of calm and collected during those phone calls, even when we were discussing stressful issues like vendors not returning our calls or having to postpone the wedding entirely (this happened twice due to COVID and Meg stuck with us through it all!). She was so knowledgeable about the wedding business in general and specifically about the flow and order in which things needed to happen on the day of the wedding. We totally followed her lead and would have been lost without her amazing guidance throughout the process. She was always open to answering any questions or even just being a sounding board for ideas we had. The month of the wedding, she took complete charge of coordinating all of our vendors, including tent set up, table/chairs/furniture rentals, lighting installation, catering, drinks/alcohol, and so much more. She sent a schedule out to each vendor involved and made sure that everyone had all of the information they needed. She went above and beyond what was “in our contract” and we’re forever grateful for all of the help she provided in those stressful weeks leading up to our big day. Fast forward to the weekend of the wedding - not only did her team lead us through the rehearsal the day before, but on the day of the wedding, she coordinated the entire set up of our ceremony and reception (which was NOT easy - we had tubs and tubs of decor!) - and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the day. She worked non-stop from 9am until 10pm that evening when our reception was over. She never showed one sign of stress or worry, and she kept everything right on time and executed our vision for the reception tent perfectly. She was so on top of everything that my husband and I were able to sit back, relax and really enjoy the company of our wedding guests. I 150% recommend hiring at least a month-of coordinator and if you want the best of the best - hire Meg Henson Events! You will not regret it, not for one second. My husband and I agree that out of all the $$ we spent on our wedding, hiring Meg was the money best spent!

Meg was FANTASTIC to work with! She was responsive, professional, and kind the during the entire wedding planning process. She thought of ALL the small things we never would have and provided organized planning tools to keep us updated throughout the last eight months. She even hired somebody last minute when we had an issue with chairs being set up on the beach! We were so, so happy to be referred to her and feel so grateful for the services that Meg and her team provided. Memi and Lilly- we cannot say enough about their professional, fun, and loving support that they offered on our wedding day. All of our guests and other vendors complimented us on Meg’s team and their ability to patiently deal with all the slip ups that inevitably occur on a wedding day. They did every. single. thing. with a huge and kind smile on their faces. They were such a perfect team and added so much to the loving energy that surrounded us on our perfect day this past weekend. Thank God for Meg! Our wedding was scheduled for 4/4, and we had already finalized all the details when we realized we would have to reschedule. We were very upset and stressed about the prospect, but once we talked to Meg she was like- no problemo, easy peasy and within 24 hours she had rebooked all our vendors! She was incredible to work with, so easy-going and had all her bases covered every time we spoke. The wedding day went off without a hitch- every detail was perfect and I felt totally taken care of. If you want a stress-free wedding planning process and to have not a care in the world on the day of your wedding, definitely hire Meg.

Meg did it! She is highly experienced and organized! My "COVID" wedding was rescheduled about 5 days before the original date! Meg helped me through out the whole process! This was a wedding 3 hours away from where either of us lived and she meet me at the venue and vendors multiple times. We had phone, facetime, and face to face meetings. She was very supportive and cooperative, since her and I lived 2 hours away from each other. We were in constant communication about everything. 100% I would hire her again! She literally made this whole experience 10x easier for me. She was never pushy or over powering. I am a type "A" personality and I never got frustrated with her or anything. Day of the wedding she took charge and made sure everything was going according to plan! Forever grateful to have had her on my special day!

Meg was so helpful in the wedding planning process. My husband and I got married at my parents club house in Wilmington... It is not a wedding venue so we really started from scratch. It was so nice to have Meg to tell us everything we needed and to be on top of all the vendors we used. She asked for our vision and truly made it come to life with picking the best vendors we could have asked for. 

With our wedding being September 7 2019- we knew it was hurricane season, but never thought it would happen on our wedding weekend. Then came Hurricane Dorian- headed straight for us. Although we did have wedding insurance (yes that’s a thing) ... I was adamant on not leaving Wilmington and not giving up my dreams of the wedding day I had planned for so long. Meg was amazing and truly kept me level headed throughout the whole week leading up. She kept in contact with all of my vendors to make sure everyone was still on board. Yes- Dorian ended up hitting Thursday night and some people had cancelled flights and were not able to make it but with lots of prayers from family and friends we were able to go through with both the rehearsal dinner Friday and all wedding festivities on Saturday! 

We truly got the wedding of our dreams and wish we could do it all over again!

Best decision we made! Meg was quite simply the best decision we made during our wedding planning process! Due to COVID-19, we had to change our July 11th wedding from a restaurant in Chicago, IL to my in-law’s house in Shallotte, NC. We booked Meg less than two months before our wedding date. With her help, knowledge, and connections, we had the most amazing and seamless day.


Throughout my two months working with Meg, we had multiple touch points via phone, email, FaceTime, and text messaging (since I am not local). She is extremely responsive, organized, and on the ball! I also really appreciated how budget-cautious she was.

On the morning of my wedding day, I looked out the window and saw Meg standing on a ladder with a power drill, in 95 degree weather, putting together our ceremony arbor with a smile on her face. That is who Meg is-- a go-getter who will go the distance in making your day absolutely perfect!

To say Meg was amazing, would be an understatement. Due to COVID restrictions, we changed our wedding reception three times, in 3 weeks. We even had to find a new officiant 48 hrs before our wedding and through it all, I still had a wedding better than anything I could have dreamed or imagined. Meg was not only positive through all the curve balls, but professional. As an African American/ Caribbean couple we had some concerns about cultural differences, but Meg was able to navigate not only COVID, but our cultural needs for our wedding events. Our family and friends absolutely LOVED her!!! Even if your venue has a planner, you still need Meg. She is the true definition of a wedding planner :)

We contacted Meg for 'Month Of' planning services, as we were planning on having a relatively straight-forward wedding and had no problems with booking vendors on our own - we just wanted someone there to coordinate those vendors, make sure my bride and I were on schedule, and to make sure the event itself ran smoothly.

I can't express how impressed and satisfied we were throughout the whole process. She was a great person to just talk with, very receptive, did a wonderful job of making our concepts a reality, and handled any changes we made along the way like it was nothing! I was doubly impressed that she seemed to effortlessly handle significant adjustments that were made due to Covid-19 and our state's restrictions and guidelines in addition to the inevitable 'last-minute changes' that go on at almost every wedding.

She worked well with all of our vendors and made sure everything was as it should be. We both really felt like she cared about our event, and to some degree, us, and wanted to make things great not just because it was her job, but because she wanted our special day to be as wonderful as possible.

Both my wife and I are hard-pressed to find *anything* that she could have done better. Going in, we were told by a ton of people how stressful weddings can be, but Meg definitely helped to eliminate almost all of it for us so that we could really enjoy our special day.

I most certainly recommend her to anyone looking to get married in the area.

Meg was the perfect mix of hands on & down to earth. We hired Meg 1 year before our wedding at Wrightsville Manor. We wanted to do a lot of the planning ourselves, but also needed Meg's wedding expertise and guidance. The last 2 months before the wedding as things got overwhelming, Meg stepped in and helped keep things organized & execute many tasks. She responded quickly to our questions & was flexible with meeting times & changing ideas. Our wedding was a destination to NC & we were from out of state. Meg is very knowledgeable of the Wilmington area and provided great suggestions for our family/friends coming into town for the wedding. Over the year working with her, it also became clear to us that Meg has strong relationships with wedding vendors in the Wilmington area. A few specific experiences with Meg are as follows: We had extra money in our budget the week before the wedding and Meg was able to secure a photobooth and a florist to add additionally greenery for us at the last minute. The day of our wedding it rained, and we had planned to get married outside. Meg kept an eye on the forecast and worked with vendors to ensure we could have our ceremony outside, without placing any stress on us. We highly recommend Meg as a wedding coordinator, whether you are planning your wedding from out of state or locally. Meg allowed us to enjoy our wedding day by taking the stress off our shoulders, especially the weeks and days leading up to our big day.

They dealt with setup during triathlon traffic and a rainy ceremony on Wrightsville Beach but smiled through it and kept me stress free throughout the day. I was supposed to get married in September but had to cancel due to the hurricane. Meg was so helpful she took charge in contacting all of my vendors to let them know we were going to postpone the wedding to April. In the meantime, the original venue coordinator had taken another job. Meg not only fully filled her obligations as my month-of coordinator, but also took on the full responsibility for the venue coordinator. There is no way we could have pulled off the most amazing day with out Meg. By far the best money spent towards our wedding. She truly took the stress out and allowed my husband, family, and friends to have the most amazing day, a dream come true!! Not to mention she is so sweet and fun to work with!!! Our venue required a day of person, if it hadn't been for that we likely would not have hired anyone for this. That being said, it would have been a mistake not to. Meg was easily the best money that we spent for our wedding. Meg and her team made our day go soo much smoother. She made it so that we didn't have to worry about all the tiny details on the day and all we had to do was show up. She was also our savior! The day before our wedding the hair person flaked, leaving us to find a hair person on the busiest wedding weekend, and graduation weekend. Meg used her connections to find us someone who was available, and to be honest probably much better than the person we were going to go with otherwise. She is our hero.

Meg Henson was our coordinator at Bakery 105 in Historic downtown Wilmington. I do not know what we would have done without her! Wedding planning and coordinating is not at all an easy task, or project I should say, and I, as a bride, would not suggest taking it on yourself! There is so much that goes into planning and coordinating so you want someone with experience to make everything as easy as possible on you. Meg makes wedding coordinating look like a breeze and I believe a lot of that is because she absolutely loves her job! Meg Henson was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day! Leading up to our big day she was so helpful in the planning and left out nothing. No detail was too small for her. She was always available to answer any questions or give advice when needed. On the day of the wedding she worked so hard to make everything perfect and easy on us. She handled all of the decorating and met every request beautifully. Because of her we were able to relax and enjoy our entire day with our friends and family. Through out the wedding and reception she kept everything on track and running smoothly. Her top priority was making sure we had our dream wedding and we are so grateful for her hard work!

Meg was our coordinator for our wedding at 128 South and she was awesome! We planned our wedding from out of town, so having someone you can rely on was important. She was always available for any crazy bride questions I had, but ensured me they weren't crazy. :) We ended up having our decor meeting over the phone and she executed my entire vision flawlessly. I had tons of little details that I wanted to happen and she made them all happen. Meg was very easy to work with and would help me talk out ideas about what was best. It has been almost two months since our wedding and I can't stop thinking about how perfect the day really was. Even the guests are still raving about the food, the venue, and the decorations. Meg was the wedding coordinator for our big day at Bakery 105 and she did a fantastic job. I was attempting to plan the wedding from out of town and she made it so easy to coordinate meetings with her flexibility and was always up for phone meetings if that worked better for me. As an indecisive bride, Meg's professional judgment and impeccable taste made everything come together beautifully on the day of. I had some visions in my head, which I explained to her, and she was able to execute wonderfully, but she also had the fantastic ability to take the stress off of me and I completely trusted her to make everything beautiful. Meg is super calm, approachable, and patient which is everything you need in a wedding planner or coordinator. I don't know if these few words can express how easy she made our day, but I would certainly highly recommend her services for any event.
